My point of view:
From what I understand, the first thing went wrong which was what the police did at the first place. They were too subjective about the case. How could they make up their mind before the investigation. Furthermore, they even helped to spread the rumours. And the second thing went wrong was what the coroner said in the first inquest. That led the case to the other way.
In my opinion, I completely agree that Lindy can be rehabilitated not only just because she is inoccent, but after suffering all those unfair judgement, she deserve to be rehabilitated.

EFS Assessment Task 5
Legal System In Australia
Topic: Gambling
Gambling involves the placing or staking of money or items of value on the outcome of an uncertain event that is determined by chance, which includes gaming, betting, wagering and lotteries.
In Australia, people who are under the age of 18 are not allowed to participate in any type of gambling.
Gambling can cause some very serious effects. Many people spend a lot more time and money on gambling, even they know they should stop. However they want to chase their losses, then spending more money trying to win back what they have already lost.
On the other hand, problem gambling can cause stress, depression, relationship breakdowns, financial hardship, family problems and loss of employment. All of these things can also lead people to gamble

Time to resume fight for press freedom
Summary:
Mr Reid(News limited group editorial director) said it was time to set up pressure for vital reforms to make Australia a freer society. The government should replace court suppression orders with transparency. He acknowledged that the new Freedom of Information laws federally making a difference in some states, and commend the new federal shield laws which give some protection for journalists to pretect their sources. However the protection for 'whistleblowers has slipped off the radar'.
Personal reflection:
As the summary mentioned, the government ought to concentrate on not only the journalists, but the whistleblowers. If the protection for the whistleblowers is not enough, people may be more hesitated when providing some important information.

Police commisioner's son pleads guilty in drug case
Summary
The son of a police commisioner who is called Russell Joseph O'Callaghan has pleaded guilty to attempting manufacturing prohibited drug. He was arrested in Perth's south on Mar 20 with four people. His lawyer said the drug was a small amount. However it was a small enough amount to warrant sentence. There will be a presentence report and sentence until June 1.
Personal reflection
As I looked at the title, I thought maybe there were something to do with the police commisioner. However there is nothing to do with him, the reporter just used the title to catch people's eyes.
In my opinon, nomatter whoever disobey the law, he/she should be justice

New website to encourage older people to stay active and healthy
Summary
NSW Health announced a website that enable the elders and health professional to access physical activity services. The exercise program focus on improving balance and strength. Moreover, it also provides imformation about leading a more active lifestyle that will help to develop physical and mental wellbeing to older people.
In addition, the website is useful for GPs and other health professionals to care for their patients.
Personal reflection
From what I understand, it is a good idea to creat a website like this. As people get older they are at rising risk of having a fall. Injuries will probably cause by fall. However it can be prevented by doing more physical activity of fall prevention programs. Therefore it is a good way to provide and encourage the elders to be active.
